Dolores June Hartman, 88, of Tarentum, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She was born May 19, 1929 in Lower Burrell, daughter of the late George and Ena Pearl (Arner) Beck, Sr.Dolores was a seamstress and loved to crochet. She crocheted hundreds of caps for soldiers to wear under their helmets and received a commendation from the U.S. Army for her efforts. She also made lap robes for nursing home residents and crocheted caps for cancer patients. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks and Eagles Clubs. She was also a published author of poetry. Dolores is survived by her husband of 67 years Sherman A. "Les" Hartman; Children - Thomas E.(Judy) Hartman, Greensburg, Patricia A. (Dennis) Henninger, Indianapolis, IN, James A. Hartman, Butler. Grandchildren - Eric (Danielle) Hartman, Melissa Hartman, Patrick (Amy) Henninger, Denise Henninger, Vickie Hartman, Jimmy Hartman, Sabrina Hartman. Great Grandchildren - Ashley & Emily Hartman, Ellery & Evelyn Henninger, Tyler Labella, Jeremiah Hartman, Kaylee; Colleen nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a sister Shirley Baker, North Apollo. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by Brother George Beck,Jr. Brother-in-law Raymond Baker, Nephew Dean Baker and Grandson Dave Hartman. Visitation will be at the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 East 10th Ave, Tarentum 724-224-1526 on Mon, Aug 21st from 2:00 PM until the time of the Service at 4:30 PM with Rev. Gregory L.
