Darla Sue Reed

Darla Sue (Filer) Reed, 48, of Freeport, passed away at home unexpectedly on Monday, August 14, 2017. She was born April 30, 1969 in Harrison Township, daughter of the late William and Geraldine (Westendorf) Filer. Darla lived her entire life in Freeport where she was a Cafeteria employee at the Freeport School district for a number of years and previously for Medrad, Indianola for 15 years. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Freeport and a 1986 graduate of Freeport High School. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and especially loved her family. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Charles M. Reed; children William A. Reed, at home, Tiffany L. Reed, West Mifflin, Paige M. Reed, Brackenridge, Becca S. Reed, Freeport and Christopher A. Bachman, New Kensington; grandchildren Rocco C., Gianna and Gabriella Czerwien. Also surviving are her brothers William E. Filer, Freeport and Robert K. Filer, Las Vegas, NV.
