Deborah Lee Bastine

Deborah Lee (Melville) Bastine, 66, of Brackenridge, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family following a 3 ½ year battle with breast cancer. She was born February 10, 1951 in Harrison Twp., daughter of the late Thomas A. and Betty M. (Young) Melville. Deborah lived her entire life in the area except for one year spent in Germany while her Husband Fred was serving in the Army. She was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge and the Tarentum Eagles. Deborah graduated from Highlands High School in 1969 and was a graduate of Beauty Academy in New Kensington as a certified nail technician. Deborah enjoyed yard sales and shopping with her best friend Kathy Vawryk, going to the beach and especially enjoyed her family, children and three granddaughters. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Fred Bastine; children Stacie M. (Chuck) Conto, Tarentum and Keith F. (Jamie) Bastine, Natrona Heights; 3 granddaughters, Samantha and Skylar Sacco, Tarentum and Kaley Bastine, Natrona Heights. Also surviving are her sisters, Janet Simpson, Freeport and Barbara (Ron) Heller, Murrysville. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Melville and sister Myrtle Logan.
