Mary Ann (Basaca) Connelly

Mary Ann (Basaca) Connelly, 89, of Mercer, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Sharon Regional Medical Center. She was born April 5, 1927 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late George and Ann Basaca. Mary Ann lived most of her life in Cheswick and Mercer since 2002. She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Heart of Mercy, Mercer. Mary Ann graduated from Central Catholic High school and was employed at Harmar Rehab Center. She enjoyed Pittsburgh sports and especially enjoyed tennis. Survivors include her loving children, Timothy G. (Tracey) Connelly, Brackenridge and Lawrence (Barbara) Connelly, Mercer; her loving grandchildren, Maggie (Jason) Meier, Dennis (Theresa) Connelly, Tim (Shannon) Connelly, Lawrence (Jen) Connelly, Sean (Paula) Connelly and Brendan (Ashley) Connelly and 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother Di (Sandy) Basaca, Penn Hills and daughter in law, Nancy Connelly, Mercer. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence R. "Rege" Connelly, son Thomas Connelly, daughter Tina Connelly and a grandson Ryan Connelly. All services and burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, Saturday, July 30, 2016.
