William F. "Bill" Opferman, 67, of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Emergency Room, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born February 26, 1949 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Francis X. and Caroline A. (Cotiaux) Opferman. Bill has lived the past 8 years in Natrona Heights and prior to that the Pittsburgh area. He was a Carpenter in the Construction Industry in the Pittsburgh area. Bill was of the Catholic faith and graduated from St. Wendelin High School in Carrick and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Carnegie Mellon University. Bill enjoyed swimming, oil painting, water skiing and bike riding. Bill was a book cover designer for Bradley House. Survivors include his daughter, Megan J. Schnuth, Pittsburgh, 3 grandchildren, Mallory, Janelle and Shane. Also surviving are his sisters, Bernadette (Melvyn) Evanvoich, Conneaut Lake, and Carol Reel, Natrona Heights. Also surviving is a brother in law, John Reel, Indiana Twp.
