Dr. William H. Mercer, D.M.D., 80, formerly of Natrona Heights, living in Severna Park, MD, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis, MD surrounded by his family. He was born September 10, 1935 in Lancaster, OH; son of the late Ferd and Gertrude (Wolfinger) Mercer. He has lived the past 2.5 years in Severna Park, MD and prior to that Natrona Heights, PA. William was a Dentist in Lower Burrell for 40 years. A member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Natrona Heights, Air National Guard in PA and OH, and the PA Dental Association. Dr. Mercer donated his time and dental skills to several local schools in the area. He was an active member of the local Optimist Club. He attended St. Mary''s Catholic School, Ohio University where he earned a degree in Industrial Technology, and the University of Pittsburgh for his D.M.D. When not working, he was an avid golfer, played racquetball, but he especially enjoyed his family. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jean (Marmo) Mercer; his children, Jolene (David) Bogner, Pataskala, OH, Thomas (Denise) Mercer, Annapolis, MD and Matthew (Yvonne) Mercer, Chaska, Minnesota. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Mercer and a sister, Mary Ann (Larry) Corder, Bedford, TX. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Catholic Funeral Mass, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Entombment will follow in the Mt.
