James "David" Pugh, 46, of Plum Boro, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. He was born March 13, 1970 in Natrona Heights, son of the late Kathy (Callen) Mercurio and John "Tim" (Karen) Pugh, Butler. He lived in Plum Boro and worked at Shipping and Receiving at Gamma Sports of Pittsburgh for 10 years. He was a member of No Walls Ministries, Pittsburgh where he also volunteered. David was a graduate of Butler High School and enjoyed fishing, Pittsburgh Sports especially the Pirates, crossword puzzles, cooking and grilling. David was known for his rich vocabulary and recognized as a hard worker. He was a very compassionate and kind person with a great sense of humor. Besides his father and step mother, survivors include his children, Jessica Pugh, Meadville and Katie and Ashley Pugh, Greenville, grandson Isaac and a brother Matthew O. Pugh, Nashville, TN. Also surviving is a grandfather James David Pugh, Tarentum, Grandmother Gertrude Pugh, Neptune, NJ and many cousins, Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathy Mercurio and a brother Thomas Mercurio. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday from 6-8PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where a service will be held on Monday at 11AM. Burial will be private.
