Mary H (Liska) Burin

Mary H. (Liska) Burin, 98, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away at the home of her son Tom, in Greer, SC. on Sunday, April 17, 2016. She was born August 28, 1917 in Creighton, East Deer Twp., daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Lehosky) Liska. Mary lived most of her life in Natrona Heights and also in Dryden NY and 10 years in Charleston, SC. Since September 2015, Mary has lived with her son Tom. She was the co-owner along with her husband John and mother of the Art & Linen Shop in Tarentum for 45 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights and a graduate of New Kensington High School and also a graduate of Business School. Mary was very active in her church; she enjoyed her business, was an avid knitter, and enjoyed crocheting, needle point and gardening. She especially enjoyed her family and travelling to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her son with whom she made her home, Thomas J. "Tom" (Elaine) Burin, Greer, SC, a daughter Kathleen Pszczolkowski, Charleston, SC; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Z. Burin in 1989; 2 brothers George and John Liska and a sister Martha Salanica. Visitation in the Duster Funeral Home, 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 9:30 am Saturday until the service at 11:30 am. In Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights with Rev. Barbara A.
