Joan Hirtz

Joan Hirtz,80 formerly of Tarentum passed away,Sat,April 16,2016 at Oakmont Center & Nursing Home where she was a resident the past 5 years.Born Sepr 26,1935 in Harrison Twp to the late Peter and Monica(Skibicki) Rogacki Joan lived most of her life in Tarentum.She was a homemaker,and a member of Holy Martyrs Church in Tarentum. Joan also was a social member of Brackenridge American Legion,and the Tarentum VFW.A graduate of Freeport High School in 1953 she enjoyed playing bingo,travelling to Casinos,cooking,baking,but especially she enjoyed spending time with her family.Joan is survived by her children,Debra J.(Norris) Cappelli,Brackenridge ,Roberta A.(Norris) Smith, Monica L (William) Volk,Sr. and Robert A. Hirtz ,Jr all. of Tarentum. Also 12 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren,and 1 great,great grandson.Her siblings,Patricia Cominos ,of Natrona Heights,and Peter (Audrey) Rogacki,Jr. of West Leechburg,as well as her companion of 16 years James Gould,Sr. of Tarentum.She was preceded in death by her parents only.At the request of Joan there will be no public visitation.
