Edna M (Quetot) Kirkbride

Edna M. (Quetot) Kirkbride, 84, formerly of Frazer Township, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at West Penn Hospice, Pittsburgh. She was born May 30, 1931 in New Kensington, daughter of the late John and Gladys (Munson) Quetot. Edna was a store manager for many years at Jess Taub Jewelers in New Kensington. She was a former member of St. Joseph Church, New Kensington and a 1949 graduate of Ken-Hi. Edna enjoyed singing, reading, wood crafts, flower gardening and time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca Ann (Keith) Leonard, Giddings, TX, Mary (Harry) Wetmore, Verona, Kathy (Steve) Barone, New Kensington with whom she lived and Rose (Ron) Gates, Pawtucket, RI; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Gladys Robinson, TX and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond W. Kirkbride, Sr. in 2007; 4 sons Charles J. and Carl A. Buhl and Ralph Kirkbride and Raymond Kirkbride, Jr.; Sister Martha McClure and brothers John and Thomas Quetot. Where parting prayers will be held on Thursday at 10AM followed by a Christian funeral mass at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington with Rev. John S. Szczesny, officiating.
