Barry Y. Linder, 69, of Tarentum, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness. He was born January 16, 1947 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Samuel and Ruth (Hirsch) Linder. Barry was raised in Penn Hills and has spent the past 39 years in Tarentum. He was owner of Meineke Muffler in Natrona Heights and prior to that owned a number of garages. Barry enjoyed NASCAR, football, college basketball and helping people work on their cars. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Margaret E. "Peggy" (Moore) Linder; his children Debra A. Linder, David C. Linder and Robert M. Linder and fiancé Melody Dekleva, all of Tarentum; a sister, Stacey R. Davis, Plum Boro and several nieces also survive.
