Ronald J. Lumley Sr., 83, of Frazer Township, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He was born July 31, 1932, in Butler, son of the late Earl and Hazel Lumley. Ronald has lived the past 50 years in Frazer Township. He was a heavy equipment operator and instructor for Penn Dot for 38 years. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of Frazer Sportsman Club, Fawn Township, Brookville Eagles and Fireman's Club and the Warsaw Sportsman Club. Ron also worked every day with his son and his roofing company, Ron's Roofing, in Fawn Township. Ron was an avid hunter and also enjoyed shooting trap at the Frazer Sportsman Club. He was a member of the Outdoor Life Lodge, Fawn Township. In his earlier years, he was an accomplished bowler and coached his girls softball team to many victories. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn J. (Drobka) Lumley; his children, Edward (Constance) Bednar, of Dayton, Ohio, Roberta A. Lojak (Robert Borner), of Pittsburgh, Terri L. (Michael J.) Coletta, of Gibsonia, and Ronald J. (Hope) Lumley Jr., of Fawn Township; grandchildren, Edward, Michael and David Bednar, Brooks Elder and Briget Lojak, Niki and Tony Coletta, Jared and McKenzie Lumley and Megan and Rachel Bailie; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alexis, Nathan, Danica, Ainsley and Olivia; also surviving are his siblings, Robert Lumley, of Chicora, Daryl Lumley, of Butler, and Jo Ann McWilliams, of Butler. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Diane Bailie and Maureen Bednar; granddaughter, Ashley Elder; brothers, Frank, Harry, Melvin and Paul Lumley; and sister, Norma Jean Lumley. Visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of blessing service at 6 p.m. Thursday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526, with the Rev. Thomas L. Gillespie, M.D., officiating. Interment will be private.
