Dale A. Cordier, 71, of New Kensington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at UPMC St. Margaret, Pittsburgh. He was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Harrison Township, a son of the late Arthur H. and Wanda L. (Black) Cordier. Dale lived most of his life in Lower Burrell and New Kensington. He was a construction supervisor for Ryan Homes, Amore Construction and Able Hess Construction in Murrysville for 45 years. Dale was a Vietnam-era veteran having served in the Navy and was of the Catholic faith. He was a lifetime member of the Lower Burrell American Legion Post 868 and a 1963 graduate of Tarentum High School. He enjoyed working around his home, carpentry, his two pet dogs, Abbey and Sadie, playing euchre at the Belgium Club in Tarentum and enjoyed travelling. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, L. Dee (Mills) Cordier; his siblings, Louis W. (Marie) Cordier, of Wintersville, Ohio, Audrey J. Moore, of Natrona Heights, and Terri L. (Albert) Vidra, of Buffalo Township, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Thomas L. Gillespie, M.D., officiating. Internment in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
