Alois P. "Al" Kudlach, 81, of Frazer Township, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born June 20, 1934, in East Deer Township, a son of the late Paul and Anna (Kontis) Kudlach. Al lived the past 32 years in Frazer Township. He was a retired meat cutter for Thorofare and Foodland. Al was an Army veteran serving from 1957 to 1959. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Creighton, Knights of Columbus National Council and the Slovak Club in Creighton. He graduated in 1952 from East Deer High School and enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Al especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, Reine C. (Edward J.) Savka Sr., of East Deer Township, and Alois A. Kudlach, of State College; and his grandchildren, Jennifer L. Savka and Edward J. Savka Jr., of East Deer Townshiop, and Alexander P. Kudlach, of State College Also surviving are his siblings, Joseph Kudlach, of Arnold, Mary Ann Konesky, of Frazer Township, and Irene (Thomas) Schantz, of Chicago, Ill. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene C. (Doutt) Kudlach, July 29, 2015; and a sister, Margaret Litvinovich. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526, where a parting service will be held at 9:20 a.m. Friday, followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Creighton, with the Rev.
