Sandra J. Hrivnak, 75, of Tarentum, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at her home peacefully surrounded by her family. Sandra was born April 11, 1940, in Fawn Township, a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Ohl) Colwell. A 1958 graduate of Tarentum High School, she lived most of her life in Tarentum and was a produce clerk at Giant Eagle supermarket in New Kensington for 30 years. Sandra was of the Presbyterian Faith, and she especially enjoyed being with her family and her friends. Her survivors include her three daughters, Julie D. (Mark) Spirnock, West Deer Township, Jayme D. (Douglass) Nulph, Natrona Heights, and Beth E. Hrivnak, of Tarentum; grandchildren, Cameron and Tanner Nulph, Jacob and Jenna Spirnock, and Abbie Ehrmantrout; and great-grandson, Max Nulph; also her sister, Sally A. (Trevor) Young, of Murrysville. Besides her parents, Sandra was preceded in death husband, Glenn R. Hrivnak, in 1997.
