Nancy L. Leathers, 83, of Springdale Township, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at St. Margaret's Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Jan. 29, 1932, in Pitcairn, daughter of the late Kenvin and Marie (Grimm) Loutsenhizer. She has lived in Springdale since 1961, where she was a homemaker. She also worked outside her home for 30 year and was a nursing assistant for five years at Allegheny General Hospital. Nancy was a member of Springdale Open Bible Church, Springdale, and enjoyed playing piano and organ and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Lysle S. Leathers; sons, Daniel K. (Kathy) Leathers, Phoenix, Ariz., David L. (Carol Lee) Leathers, Springdale, and Kirby M. (Dianna) Leathers, Pataskala, Ohio; and a grandson whom she raised, Daniel E. (Lisa) Leathers, Sewickley Hills. Also surviving are six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary Loutsenhizer and Kaye Swigart. There will be a memorial service in Springdale Open Bible Church with Pastor Richard Fiore at the convenience of the family.
