Donna Jean Sims

Donna Jean (Humes) Sims, 82 of Tarentum, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born August 6, 1934 in Tarentum, daughter of the late Thomas Humes and Ellen (Acre) Humes, McCain. Donna has lived her entire life in the area where she was a homemaker and also worked as a Nurse''s aide in Respiratory and Physical therapy at Allegheny Valley Hospital. She also worked for a time at Bell Telephone and K-Mart. Donna was of the Methodist Faith and a 1952 graduate of Tarentum High School. She enjoyed quilting, needle work and crocheting. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert C. Sims, Sr.; children Margaret (Kevin) Wyant, Fawn Twp., Robert C. (Judith) Sims, Jr., Brackenridge and Karen (Jack) Allen, Allegheny Twp. Also surviving are her grandchildren Christa (Ludwig) Rocabado, Robert (Carley) Wyant, Jamie (Keith) Bastine and Andrew (Candice) Wyant and great grandchildren Dexter, Annie and Kaley. Visitation Monday from 2PM till the time of service at 7PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. C. Drew Myers, officiating. Burial will be private.
