Margaret M Horneman

Margaret M. (Selmek) Horneman, 92, formerly of Fawn Twp., passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at St. John''s Specialty Care Center, Mars. She was born May 12, 1924 in Tarentum, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Hromadik) Selmek. Margaret has lived in Florida the past 20 years and prior to that Fawn Twp. She was a homemaker and member of Center United Methodist Church, Fawn Twp. Margaret graduated from Tarentum High School in 1941 and enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Survivors include her children Paulette (Carl) Wetmore, Hudson, FL, Donald (Shirley) Otwell, Leechburg, Linda (Glenn) Freeman, Tarentum, Joseph (Amy) Otwell, Fawn Twp., Thomas (Bambi) Horneman, Vandergrift and Michael (Carol) Horneman, Upper Burrell; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Pauline Parker, Fawn Twp. and Wilma Pitell, Pittsburgh. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herman J. Horneman, infant son Robert Otwell, grandson Douglas Freeman, Brother Carl Selmek and Sister Ethel Birch. At the request of the family burial will be private at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
