Helen F Vasil

Helen F. Vasil, 91, formerly of Tarentum, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home, Brackenridge. Born April 27, 1925 in Rural Ridge, PA, daughter of late Louis and Nellie (Galarowicz) Suvoy. Helen lived in the area all her life. She was a Laborer for PPG, Creighton and retired from US Gypsum, Oakmont in 1990. A member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Russellton. Helen enjoyed playing Bingo, the Daily Number and cards with her sister in laws. Survivors include her children, John D. (Diane) Vasil, Plano, TX, Carol S. (Pete) LaCava, West Deer Twp., Donald J. (Rosemary) Vasil, Brackenridge and Michael A. (Jodi) Vasil, Ravenna, OH. Also 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren survive. Besides parents she was preceded by her husband John Vasil, Jr. and siblings Frank, Louis and Stanley "Stush" Suvoy and Annie Sorokacs.
