Esther E. (Lorenzini) Ameel, 85, formerly of Tarentum, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born September 23, 1931 in Tarentum, daughter of the late Bruno and Emma (Maltagliati) Lorenzini. Esther lived 6 years in Michigan and recently Robinson Twp. for 23 years. She was a hairdresser and a LPN in Michigan and Country Meadows in Bridgeville. Esther was a former member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1949 and from CCAC, Monroeville with a nursing degree. Esther enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and reading. Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl A. Ameel, Robinson Twp. and Amy A. Ameel, Economy Boro; grandchildren Ronald, Edward and Andrew Hoyt and Robert Jones, Jr. and Gina Jones; great grandchildren Madison, Megan, Andrew, Rylan, Max and Kyla. Also surviving are her siblings Albert J. (Doris) Lorenzini and James B. (Sandra) Lorenzini, both of Natrona Heights and Karen (Auggie) Fucci, VA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward A. "Bouncer" Ameel in 2000, daughter Jeanne Hoyt and sister Rosalia Gainor.
