Debra Lynn Blyth, 57, of Shaler Township, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born May 9, 1959 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late George and Mabel (Van Tassel) Waibel. Debra has lived the past 3 years in Shaler Twp. and prior to that most of her life in Tarentum and Indiana Twp. She was a Case Manager for Allegheny Co. area agency on Aging in Pittsburgh. She was of the Protestant faith. Debra graduated from Fox Chapel High School in 1977 and the University of Pittsburgh in 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Debra was an avid Pirate fan, played the drums and enjoyed all types of music and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Survivors include her son Ian R. Blyth, Elwood City; grandson Bud N. Blyth, Ellwood City; best friend Deborah M. Samay, Shaler Twp. and her siblings, Paul (Peggy) Waibel, Ocala, FL, Elizabeth "Betty" (Larry) McAdams, West Deer Twp. and twin sisters Karen (Paul) McDowell, Butler and Cathy (Justin) Wagner, Butler.
