Eleanor M (Stawinski) Martonik

Eleanor M. (Stawinski) Martonik, 82, of Tarentum, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born September 2, 1934 in Natrona, daughter of the late Valentine and Mary (Doman) Stawinski. Eleanor has lived in Tarentum since 1969 and prior to that Natrona. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Martyrs Church,Tarentum and was a member of the former St. Clement Church, Tarentum. Eleanor was also a member of the Tarentum Jednota and graduated from Har Brack High School 1952. Survivors include her children Denise A. (Paul) Overmyer, Hicksville, OH, Richard A. Martonik, Peters Twp. and Kevin J. Martonik, Tarentum. Also surviving are her grandchildren Jessa Martonik, Moon Twp. and Jordan and Nicole Martonik of Peters Twp. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard J. "Horse" Martonik 1993, 5 brothers Joseph, Raymond, Andrew, Francis and Ronald Stawinski and 2 sisters Viola Krasinski and Theresa Stawinski and daughter in law Faith Martonik Jan. 5, 2017. Visitation 4-8 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10 Am in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum with Rev.
