Audrey Ann (Crawford) Hanosky

Audrey Ann (Crawford) Hanosky, 76, of Allegheny Township, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family, Wednesday, March 8, 2017, after a courageous 11 year battle with stage 4 Colon cancer which did not stop her living life to the fullest, including sky diving and zip lining. She was born August 26, 1940 in Tarentum, daughter of the late Alvin J. and Alvasa (Beaver) Crawford. Audrey has lived in Allegheny Township the past 8 years and prior to that 14 years in Harrisburg. She was a Registrar for the Radiation Department at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA and an Administrative Assistant at Liberty Mirror in Brackenridge. Audrey was a member of Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church and also a Deacon; she was a past member of Pioneer Hose Auxiliary, Brackenridge. She graduated in 1960 from Freeport High school. Audrey enjoyed crafts and formerly owned and operated Kreative Krafts in Tarentum and Celebrate With Us Wedding Decorator, Lower Burrell. Survivors include her husband of 34 years Fred O. Hanosky; children John L. (Rebecca) Hendrickson, Natrona Heights and Barbara Ann (John) Antal, Allegheny Twp., granddaughter whom she adored Ryleigh L. Hendrickson, Natrona Heights. Also surviving are two sisters, Alvasa "La La" Thomson and Olive "Nealy" Vrotney, both of Tarentum, sister in law Barbara Hanosky, Idaho Falls, Idaho and her dogs Maggie and Xena. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Bertha Hinkle. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held Saturday at 12 Noon with Rev. R. Cameron Malcolm, IV, officiating. Burial will be Private in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. Family suggests contributions to Hillman Cancer Center. VISIT: dusterfuneralhomeinc.com
