Robert L. Carnahan, 89, of Brackenridge, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the H.J. Heinz campus of the VAPHS in Aspinwall. He was born June 27, 1927 in the Valley Camp section of New Kensington to the late John W. Carnahan and Sara Bell Carnahan Beck. He owned and operated Kleen Kare Service for over 35 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed baking and sharing cookies with family, friends and organizations. He was a lifetime member of the Pollock Lodge No. 502 Free And Accepted Masons, Syria Shriners AAONMS and Oregon Hunting and Fishing Club. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty two years, Beverly A (Gibbons) Carnahan, children Robin (Mark) Kuchta, Brackenridge, PA, Charles (Christine) Carnahan, Carrabassett Valley, ME, Linda (Ronnie) Long, Clute, TX and Katie Carnahan, Brackenridge, PA, four grandchildren, Luke and Neil Carnahan, Brigid and Ryan Lindveit and three nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Beck and his sister, Barbara Lindemuth. The family is grateful to the VA Pittsburgh Health System for the excellent care and support they provided. The family would especially like to thank the Adult Day Care Center and Floor 3A of Building 51 of the Aspinwall Campus. His body was donated to the Humanity Gift Registry. There will be no services or internment. The family suggests donations to Highlands Area Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 395, Natrona Heights, PA 15065, or to a charity of your choice.
