Joseph C Meyers

Joseph C. Meyers, 61, of New Kensington, passed away at home Friday, February 10, 2017. He was born June 10, 1955 in New Kensington, son of the late Howard L. and Catherine (Burbach) Meyers. He lived most of his life in Springdale and then New Kensington. Joseph worked for Whales Tale in Pittsburgh for 10 years and Fox Chapel Stone as a general laborer. He was of the Catholic faith and graduated from Springdale High School in 1974, Dean Technical and Rosedale Tech. Joseph enjoyed fishing, reading and crossword puzzles. Survivors include his children Leona (Keith) Jones, Pitcairn, Sarah (John) Miller, and Aaron Meyers both of Tarentum and Rebecca Meyers, New Kensington; grandchildren Mason, Tavyn, John III and Jayce. Also surviving is a former spouse Christine Kirkland, and his siblings Mary Meyers, Ruth Meyers, Howard Meyers, Jean (Jerry) Canter, Cathy (Jim) Christy, Judy (Tom) Kruszewski, John (Terri) Meyers and Patty (Rich) Meyers. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Robert Meyers. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526.
