Frank C. "Fuzz, Sr."Palko, 91, of Tarentum, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was born September 6, 1925 in Tarentum, son of the late Paul and Mary (Kulisek) Palko. Frank lived his entire life in Tarentum where he was a Water Treatment Technician for Tarentum Boro. He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army as a Flash Ranging Observer in the European Theatre. Frank was a member of the former St. Clement Church, now Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. Also a member of Tarentum Jednota and the Tarentum Sportsman Club. Frank graduated from Tarentum High School and attended two years of Technical school. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, college football, especially the University of Pgh. He also enjoyed hunting with his beagles that he raised and trained, receiving numerous awards while participating in AKC field trials. Frank also was an expert and avid crossword puzzle enthusiast Survivors include his children, Barbara A. (Daniel L.) Coyle, Buffalo Twp., Mary Ann Albaugh, Tarentum, Frank L. (Mary Beth) Palko, New Kensington, James A. (Christine) Palko, Lower Burrell, Thomas J. (Laura) Palko, South Buffalo Twp. and Suzanne M. (Joseph) Klabnik, Cornelius, NC; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings Rev. John Palko, Pittsburgh and Agnes Dubnicay, Tarentum. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary L. (Butko) Palko in 1991 and 3 brothers Matthew, Rudolph and Paul Palko. A private family visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 PM to 7 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 East 10th Ave, Tarentum, 15084 724-224-1526 where a Blessing service will be conducted Monday at 10 AM with his pastor Rev.
