Mary Louise (Ferencak) Wood

Mary Louise (Ferencak) Wood, 87, of Natrona Heights, formerly of Fawn Twp., passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice of Concordia, Cabot. She was born September 12, 1929 in East Vandergrift, daughter of the late Stephen John and Barbara Marie (Kardos) Ferencak. Mary lived most of her life in Fawn Township where she was a homemaker and member of Bull Creek Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Vandergrift High School and enjoyed bingo, feeding wildlife and especially taking care of her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Ken (Kris) Wood, Fawn Twp. and Diane Vogeley, Natrona Heights; grandchildren April (Ira) Bush, Erie, George (Jessica) Vogeley, Palm City, FL, Hunter Wood, Mt. Washington and Lt. Zac Wood, Ft. Hood, TX, and great grandchildren Elijah Bush and Parker Vogeley. Also surviving are her siblings, Sylvia Ferencak, East Vandergrift, Barbara Ann (James) McCullough, Bell Twp., Catherine (Paul) Westendorf, Natrona Heights, Margaret Milito, Baltimore, MD, Robert Ferencak, Vandergrift, Thomas Ferencak, TX and Gerald (Debbie) Ferencak, Vandergrift. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth H. Wood in 2009, infant daughter Debra Louise, brothers Joseph, Lawrence and Phillip Ferencak and sisters Eleanor Blazaitas and Stephanie Lombardi. Visitation 6-8 PM Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Saturday at 10AM with Rev. Dr. W.
