Anne Marie (Freund) McCann

Anne Marie (Freund) McCann, 104, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at home. She was born October 2, 1912 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Frederick and Rose Marie (Heimbuecher) Freund. Anne Marie lived the past 20 years in Natrona Heights and prior to that Jeannette and Wilkinsburg. She was a homemaker and also worked at Wonday Film and Photography in Wilkinsburg for 20 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights and was a former member of Highlands Area Sr. Citizens. Anne Marie graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Pittsburgh in 1930. She was an avid card player, enjoyed travelling and crocheting. She especially enjoyed her family, children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Edward J. (Edna) McCann, Bethel Park, Nancy (Joseph) Growall, Peters Twp., Joan (Raymond) Donaldson, West Deer and Rosemary (Keith) Haugh, Natrona Heights and her 15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. McCann, grandson Brian E. Haugh, Brothers Frederick and William Freund and Sisters Rosalie Ainor, Gertrude Freund, Margaret Newcamp, Catherine Edwards and Ida Schneider. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
