Shirley J (Goldscheitter) Coleman

Shirley J. (Goldscheitter) Coleman, 78, of Buffalo Twp., passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Butler Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born June 4, 1938 in Harrison Township, daughter of the late Julius and Josephine (Palko) Goldscheitter. Shirley has lived most of her life in Buffalo Township where she was a homemaker. She also worked as a Registered Nurse at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She attended Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church and was a graduate of Winfield High School in 1956 and received her R.N. degree from Allegheny Valley Hospital. Shirley enjoyed crocheting, bingo and loved going to casinos. She especially enjoyed her family, children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Vicky L. Coleman, Kittanning, Donald A. Coleman, CO, Kimberly K. Tanner, FL, Carol J. Wetzel, Clinton Twp., Melissa D. Coleman, Buffalo Twp., Mary Jo Coleman, Jefferson Twp., Georgetta J. Coleman, Buffalo Twp., Jess L. (Julie) Coleman, Amherst, VA and Carrie A. Coleman, Butler Twp.; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother Edward F. Goldscheitter. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Coleman, April 3, 2016; grandson Bradli N. Coleman, KIA, Iraq 2004 and a sister Marianne Klabnik. Visitation 6-8PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Monday at 11 AM.
