Colton B. Phillippi, 24 of Natrona Heights passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2016. He was born May 20, 1992 in Pittsburgh. He joins his mother, Jennie J. (Williamson) Phillippi and his father, Scot Phillippi, who both died a decade earlier, in 2007 and 2006. His parents once owned a popular pizza bar and Colton inherited the locally-famous pizza recipe. Colton was eager to fulfill his dream of opening his own pizza place, somewhere in New York City, where he thought the pizza''s unique qualities would be appreciated. His grandmother, Connie Phillippi (a locally renowned baker) must have taught him a few things, too, as Colton prided himself on his culinary creativity. Anyone as passionate about hunting and fishing and eating, as Colton was, would certainly want to know how to cook. An avid outdoorsman, Colton was happiest when he was in the woods, on a lake or in a boat hunting or fishing. For as long as he was alive, at almost every stage of life, there is a photo of Colton holding a big fish and usually with a faithful German Shepherd beside him. Colton graduated from Highlands High School and at the time of his death, he was studying to become an electrician at the Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He wanted to make a good living in order to pursue his dreams and hobbies. Funny, handsome and sweet-naturedColton will be missed enormously by his friends and family.
