Thomas J. "TJ" McIntire,III, 37, Brackenridge, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following complications from a recent surgery. He was born April 11, 1979 in East Franklin Twp., son of Kim (Moore) McIntire, Hanan, Vandergrift and the late Thomas J. McIntire, Jr. TJ has lived the past 12 years in Brackenridge and was employed as a machinist at Elliott Co., Jeanette. He was of the Protestant faith andPast Master of Pollock Lodge 502 in Tarentum. A 1997 graduate of Freeport High School and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, He was also a member of 501st Garrison Carida, Star Wars Charitable organization. TJ was an avid collector of Transformers, Star Wars and Disney Frozen memorabilia. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Kristen L. (McGinnis) McIntire; sons Owen C. and Liam J. McIntire; Step father, Dennis R. Hanan, Vandergrift, grandmother Mabel Hazlett, Brackenridge, Mother in law and Step Father in law Kathy and Jeff Slivan, Brackenridge, Father in law Shawn McGinnis, Freeport, Sister and Brother in law Heather and Chuck Connell, Brackenridge, Niece Willow Connell, Brackenridge, Nephew Tyler Slivan, Brackenridge, Aunt and Uncle, James and Terri Scalzott, Allegheny Twp., Cousins, Aaron J. Scalzott, Allegheny Twp. and Casey L. Scalzott, Brackenridge; aunts and uncles, Daniel and Sherry Scalzott, Oklahoma Boro, William and Sandy Becker, Saltsburg and Greg and Shari Spangler, Gibsonia and cousin Mallory Spangler, Gibsonia. Besides father, preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Jack and Irene McIntire, Maternal grandparents, Lester and Betty Moore and grandfather, George Hazlett. Visitation 2-8 PM Sunday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Monday at 11AM with Rev. Mitchel Nichols, officiating. Burial in Vandergrift Cemetery will be private. Tarentum Masons will conduct services in the funeral home Sunday at 7 PM.
