Stephen A. Gazarik, 91, of Tarentum, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot. He was born August 10, 1925 in Tarentum, son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Masarik) Gazarik. Stephen lived his entire life in Tarentum. He was employed at Houston Electronics in Tarentum and was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, 15th Air Force division. Stephen was a member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum and the Tarentum VFW Post 5758 and honorary life member of Summit Hose. He graduated in 1947 from Tarentum High School and enjoyed bowling and wood working. Survivors include his children, Joan (Charles) Duke, Franklin, Stephen D. (Linda) Gazarik, Winfield Twp., Theresa (Charles) Kier, Saxonburg and Michael J. (Michelle) Gazarik, Superior, CO, also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Ruth E. (France) Gazarik; a son Daniel P. Gazarik; brothers, John, Joe, Anthony, Edward and Frances "Bill" Gazarik and sisters Mary Bazala, Ann Chelko and Josephine Chelko.
