Joyce M (Jenkins) Barnes

Joyce M. (Jenkins) Barnes, 69, of Fawn Twp., passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was born May 15, 1947 in West Mifflin, daughter of the late Russell and Ellen (Gilmore) Jenkins. Joyce lived most of her life in Fawn Twp. and was of the Catholic faith. Joyce was a Night Manager for Community Market in Natrona Heights for a number of years. She graduated West Mifflin High school and enjoyed camping and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, Survivors include her husband of 49 years, David A. Barnes; her daughters, Stacey (Robert) Hunter, St. Francisville, LA and Michele Barnes, Fawn Twp; grandchildren Jacob and Emily Hunter. Also surviving are her siblings, Charles (Winifred) Jenkins, West Mifflin, Edward (Jean) Jenkins, McKeesport and Annabelle Jenkins, Perryopolis. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice Blanchard, Delores Harold and Loretta Jenkins and a brother William Jenkins. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum where a blessing service will be held on Saturday at 11AM with Rev. Wesley M. Mash, officiating.
