Amy S. Waugaman

Amy S. Waugaman, 73, of Brackenridge, passed away at home Thursday, August 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 15, 1952 in Harrison Township, a daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Smith) McElwain. Amy lived most of her life in Brackenridge where she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of Burrell High School and the Wilma Boyd Career School for Airlines, where she worked in an office capacity. Amy was an avid animal lover, chaperoned school outings, and was very involved with her children’s activities. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bowling and especially enjoyed being with her family, children and grandchildren. Amy was loved by all who knew her and she will be missed beyond measure, but we take comfort in knowing she is now in the arms of the Lord.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Randy K. Waugaman; her children Kelli A. (Glenn) Dougherty, of Natrona Heights, Corey S. (Danielle) Waugaman, of Tarboro, NC and Christopher W.L. (Heather) Waugaman, of Buffalo Township. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Braedon G. Waugaman, of Tarboro, NC, Eli J. Waugaman, of Buffalo Twp., Liam R. Waugaman, of Tarboro, NC and Emma R. Waugaman, of Buffalo Twp.; and brother-in-law Thomas Burkett, of Cincinnati, OH. Besides her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her sister Marcia Burkett.
