Andrew J. Lelik, Jr., 97, formerly of Allegheny Township, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Bridgeville following a brief illness. He was born November 8, 1927 in Donora, PA to the late Andrew J. and Emma (Luhanich) Lelik, Sr. Andrew has lived the past 4 years in Bridgeville and prior to that 28 years in Allegheny Township. He was a metallurgical engineer and retired from Braeburn Steel, Lower Burrell, in 1993 as the Vice President of Operations. Andrew was a WWII and Korean war veteran; Andy served his county as an Army enlisted man and US Air force Captain. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell and held memberships in American Society of Metals (ASM), American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM), and American Iron & Steel Institute (AISI). He was a 1946 graduate of Donora High School, attended 1 year at the University of Pennsylvania and was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in 1952 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Andrew loved his work, and was very athletic, in high school he played football and basketball.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, and were together 80 years, Rachel E. (Couser) Lelik; daughters Dr. Andrea S. (Dr. Jack Ramey) Clem, of Chicago, ILL and Kristine M. (Gregory) Gillotti, of Reading, PA. Also surviving are his grandchildren Philip Stillwagon, Caitlin Stillwagon and Nicole Gillotti and son in law Mark Stillwagon. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Cheryl Stillwagon, brothers William and Edward Lelik and 3 sisters Margaret Stunda, Emma Maranich and Marian Baker.
Visitation Friday from 9:30-10:30AM in the Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526, followed by a Christian funeral mass at 11 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell with Rev.
