Anna M. Brown, 101, of Tarentum, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Gibsonia. She was born May 19, 1920 in Harrison to the late George and Barbara (Kolich) Stosic. Anna lived most if her life in Tarentum where she was a homemaker. Before marriage she worked in the post office in New York. She also worked for the Priests and Nuns in Sacred Heart Church and was a librarian in St. Clement’s Church. She was a member of Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum and was a 1940 graduate of Har Brack High School. Anna enjoyed scrabble and solitaire, spending time with her friends and especially enjoyed her family. Anna was a strong believer in her Catholic faith and was known for always saying, Moly, Moly (Pray, Pray).
Survivors include her children, Robert F. (Patricia) Brown, of Pittsburgh, John L. (Jenny) Brown, of AZ, Hilda A. (Tim) Miller, of VA, Carl J. Brown, of NY and Alice M. (Mark) Magoc, of Tarentum. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Brown; son Mark W. Brown, grandson Jason, and her siblings Matthew Stosic, and Barbara and Mary.
Visitation 1-3 and 5-7 PM Thursday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10AM in Holy Martyrs Church, Tarentum. Burial will be in Sacred Heart St Peter Cemetery, Tarentum. VISIT: dusterfh.com
