Barbara A. Bauer

Barbara A. Bauer, 73, of South Side, Pittsburgh, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness. She was born April 23, 1945 in Pittsburgh to the late Anthony Russo and Julia (Hawrelak) Russo, Olko. Barbara lived her entire life in Pittsburgh and was a waitress in several local Pittsburgh area restaurants. She was of the Christian faith and a graduate of South High School, Pittsburgh.

            Survivors include her son, Michael R. (Laurel) Bauer, New Kensington; grandchildren Laurie (Matt) Syput, Plum Boro and Jordan (Nikki) Kjanica, Tarentum; great grandchildren Rainey and Ryleigh Syput, Plum Boro and Jasper Kjanica, Tarentum. Also surviving is a brother Larry (Shari) Olko, Bellevue, and niece and nephew Lauren and Jeffrey Olko, Pittsburgh. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step father, Joseph Olko; siblings Tony Russo and Joann and Lavern Russo and her former husband Robert Bauer.

            Visitation Wednesday from 2 PM until the time of service at 7PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Donna L. Scholl, officiating. Burial will be private. VISIT: dusterfh.com
