Barbara Helen Beck

BECK, Barbara Helen (Dowgialo), 69, of Midlothian, passed away January 31, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Beck; her children, Bradley Beck (Dena), Jason Beck and Melissa Carroll (Nathan); her four grandchildren, Austin, Cooper, Amelia Grace and Asher. Barbara graduated from West Liberty University (Wheeling, W.Va.), where she became a lifelong Delta Zeta sister and met her husband-to-be, David. She taught for many years at Good Shepherd Episcopal School. She loved spending her days quilting, playing cards with dear friends, and relaxing with her family at Gwynn's Island, Va. and Punta Gorda, Fla. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will always be remembered as a loving and kind wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Bliley's - Chippenham Funeral Home, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Drive, with a reception to follow.
