Barbara J. Edwards

Barbara McGivern-Edwards, 79, of Brackenridge, passed away at home Thursday, March 19, 2026. She was born November 2, 1946, daughter of the late Bernard and Jean (Howenstein) McGivern, Sr. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack D. Edwards, her beloved son, and daughter-in-law, Shelby and Michelle Griffiths, 3 beloved brothers, Bernie, Michael and Bobby McGivern. 

She is survived by her 2 beloved wonderful daughters, Marla (Chuck) Mosesso and Sue Griffiths, 3 beloved sisters, Lynne (Dave) Harrison, Pam (Mark) Ebner and Mary Anne (Don) Raymon, 3 grandchildren, Stephen (Bri) Nebel, Shelby Griffiths III (Marissa), Lea Headen, 3 great grandchildren, Lynnea, Kiera, and Sunny and also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her step children, Jack Edwards, Jr., late James Edwards, Tom Edwards (Gina), Diane (Blake) Eiseman, late Paul Edwards, step grandchildren, late Lauren Edwards, Cassie Formeck, Becca (Matt) Buckley, TJ Edwards, Taylor (Josh) Dorn, and Jimmy Edwards, Jr. and a companion David Fine.

Barbara retired from UPMC, payment apps and registration department, Pittsburgh. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, children and her friends.

Visitation Monday March 23, 2026 from 12 noon until the time of service at 4PM with Fr John Bailey officiating in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be private. VISIT: dusterfuneralhomein.com
