Bertram C. Smith

Bertram C. Smith, 92 of Tarentum, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at West Haven Nursing Home, Apollo. He was born on October 3, 1925 in Natrona to the late Bertram F.  and Bessie M. (Hughes) Smith. Bertram lived his entire life in the area where was an Induction furnace operator for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge and Natrona for 40 years.   He was a veteran of the U S Army serving during the Korean Conflict in Germany and was a member of the Natrona Heights VFW. 

     Survivors include his loving sister Betty Devlin, Natrona Heights, late wife’s daughter Rebecca M. Davidek and her daughter Christine Montgomery.  Care givers, Bonnie Devlin- Ray, Linda (Jim) Micholas, Sandra Hudson and many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Eileen (Jentgens) Smith, infant daughters.  Brothers Richard, John and Ralph Smith and sisters Lois Straughn, Margaret Micholas, Fern Heyer, Marcella Smith and Jean Beck.
