Betty Lou Donahue, 94, of Fawn Township, passed away at her home, peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, May 15, 2023. She was born February 10, 1929 in Harrison Township to the late Charles Love and Emma Graybigle Smith. Betty Lou lived her entire life in the area where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Millerstown United Methodist Church, Fawn Twp. Betty Lou loved listening to gospel music and playing cards. She especially loved spending time with family, and supporting, loving and encouraging each one of them. The family would like to express their love and appreciation to Betty Lou’s hospice care taker, Carrie, Tammy, Mel and Crystal.
Survivors include her children Raymond O. (Deborah L.) Donahue, of Buffalo Twp. and Melanie L. (Bernard L.) Barch, of Fawn Twp.; 3 grandchildren Joseph (Brandy) Donahue, Amanda (Andy) Crocker and Erin (Scott) Craig and 6 great grandchildren Olivia and Lilly Crocker, Avery and Layne Donahue and Nora and Emory Craig. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Raymond O. "Bucky" Donahue, 5 brothers Clarence, Leonard, John, Edward and Robert and 8 sisters. Hazel and Ruth Smith, Helen Nelson, Florence Almes, Myrtle Johnson, Martha Norris, Winifred Null and Emma Bowser.
Visitation Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, with Rev. Darlene K. Ryniec, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Family suggests contributions to Millerstown United Methodist Church, Fawn Township. VISIT: dusterfh.com
