Bonita J Robinson, 93, of Frazer Township, passed away on April 1, 2024, at home.  She was born February 22, 1931, in Tarentum, to the late Jess Jocelyn and Nellie Henrietta (Latour) Huet.  Bonnie lived her entire life in the area.  She was a 1948 graduate of Tarentum High School.  She was a teacher’s aide at East Deer Frazer Elementary School and was a 25 year employee at Southwest National Bank, now known as First Commonwealth Bank.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was treasurer of the former Tarentum History & Landmarks.  She also served as a member of the Meals on Wheels program.

Bonnie enjoyed her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed knitting afghans for friends and family, traveling, especially to Marco Island.  The travel highlights included trips to Ireland and Belgium.  She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, Sudoku and playing Mexican dominoes.    Survivors include her children, Robin Robinson and Scott (Michele Conroy) Robinson, both of Frazer Township, and Kelly Robinson of Myrtle Beach.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Justin Robinson, Jessica (Joshua) Hoover, Joshua (Brianne Noelle) Robinson, Jamie Robinson, Gina (Parker) Kantos, and Paige (Jeremy) Neff and six great-granddaughters, Aaliyah Robinson, Jaelyn and Jordyn Hoover and Andrea, Janey and Delilah Neff and a seventh great-granddaughter Robinson due in August.  She is also survived by her faithful companion, Chloe.   Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Gerald, who passed away in 2018, and brothers, Raymond and Jesse Huet.

At Bonnie’s request, funeral and burial arrangements are private.  The family wants to express their deepest appreciation and love for the special care given by her granddaughter, Jamie Robinson.
