Bonnie Elaine Compton

Bonnie Elaine Compton, 74, formerly of San Diego, CA, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Pittsburgh, PA, where she resided with her son’s family. She was born May 28, 1949 in Camden, NJ to the late Winfield and Isabel (Kirkley) Burnum. Bonnie graduated from Haddon Township High School in New Jersey and attended culinary school at Paul Smith’s College in New York. She worked as a Dental Technician. In retirement, Bonnie enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts, especially ceramics. Spending time with her three grandchildren also brought her great joy.

Survivors include her son Daniel B. (Karen) Compton, of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter Holly, of Portland OR; grandchildren Daniel C. Compton and Timothy B. Compton, both of Pittsburgh, PA; and Phoenix Compton, of Portland, OR. Also surviving is a brother Winfield (Kimberly) Burnum, of Voorhees, NJ.
