Brooks A. Elder

Brooks A. Elder, 39, of Tarentum, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was born January 15, 1986 in Natrona Heights, son of Roberta (Bednar) Lojak (Robert Borner), of Ross Township and John Elder, of Tarentum. Brooks was a self-employed electrician and of the catholic faith. He graduated from Highlands High School in 2004 and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Brooks especially enjoyed spending time with his nephews Mason and Nico and loved his dog Sage.

Besides his parents, survivors include his sister Briget M. (Mark) Nicholas, of Butler and nephews Mason and Nico Nicholas. Also surviving are Maternal grandmother Marilyn Lumley, of Tarentum, aunt Terri (Michael) Coletta, of Russellton, uncles Ronnie Lumley, of Tarentum and Edward (Connie) Bednar, of OH, aunt Dana (Jim) Petruska, of Mars and aunt Donna Elder, of Las Vegas, NV and numerous cousins. Brooks was preceded in death by his sister Ashley A. Elder in 2001, maternal grandfathers Edward Bednar and Ronald Lumley, paternal grandparents John and Beverly Elder and aunts Diane Bailie and Maureen Bednar.

A memorial service will be held from 10 AM until 12 noon Wednesday in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be private in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp. VISIT: dusterfh.com
