Caren Sue Medsger

Caren Sue Medsger, 59, of New Kensington, passed away at home surrounded by her loving Wesley Family Services family on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. She was born on January 22, 1965 in Pittsburgh at Bellevue’s Suburban General Hospital to the late Harry Martin Medsger, Sr. and Carol Anne (Jenkins) Medsger.

Caren lived in Ross Township and the past 30 years in New Kensington. She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed candy, chocolate, Big Macs and her warm fuzzy socks. She also enjoyed holding hands, neck massages, and colorful magazines, but she especially enjoyed her Wesley Family Services family.

Survivors include her siblings Christi Lynn (Danny) Lebak, Gary Charles (Gina) Medsger, Sr., both of Ross Township, Carla Ann (Kyle) Purvis of Jamestown, SC and Curtis William (Heather) Medsger of Shaler Township. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Harry “Marty” Martin (Debbie) Medsger, Jr. of Clermont, FL.

Caren Sue’s journey was made more comfortable by the tender care of her Hope Hospice team, Dana Vervier, LPN, Brianna Lockhart, CNA, and Regina Medsger, RN.

 Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd from 4-6 PM at Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park.
