Carol J. Parke Hazlett, 90, of Natrona Heights died Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2024 after a fall in her home and a brief hospital stay. She was born in Ekastown on July 22, 1934 to Hubert and Gladys (Bachman) Cogley. Carol graduated from Har-Brack High in 1952 and worked in the lab at Allegheny Ludlum before beginning a long career as a bank secretary for Union National Bank in Tarentum until retiring in 1999. Carol enjoyed church and social group card parties with friends, doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire on her tablet, watching Steeler and Pitt football games, and reading any book put in front of her. From 1958 to his death in 1977, Carol was married to H. Frank Parke whose memory she cherished to the day of her own passing. She was married to Lisle K. Hazlett from 1995 to his death in 2003 who introduced her to a new, wider social group and the world of college football. Carol was a member of First United Presbyterian Church of Tarentum.
She is survived by her devastated family, children Scott (Carol) Parke of Freeport and Paula (Gene) Trindell of Lewisberry, PA, granddaughters Sarah and Katherine Trindell and Danielle and Nicole Parke. Carol was predeceased by her parents, both husbands, and her sister, Glennis Schrecker.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM with Rev. Philip A. Beck officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Brackenridge. VISIT: dusterfh.com
