Catherine H. Kjanica, 96, of East Deer Township, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Monroeville Rehab and Wellness Center. She was born March 18, 1925 in Russellton, to the late Andrew and Appolinia (Kuntz) Regent. Catherine has lived most of her life in Creighton where she was a homemaker and also worked at Papercraft for 20 years. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Holy Family Church, Creighton and the Natrona Heights VFW Auxiliary. Catherine enjoyed puzzles, taking rides in the car, traveling and spending time at her daughters camp. She especially enjoyed her family, children and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Myra Kjanica, of Tarentum, Adam (Anna Kay) Kjanica, of Buffalo Twp., Diann Kjanica with whom she made her home and David Kjanica, of Tarentum. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Holly Kjanica and husband Drew, of Pitcairn, Theresa (Edward) Adams, of Marionville, Laurie (Matt) Syput, of Plum and Jordan (Nikki) Kjanica, of Allegheny Twp.; 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Adam Kjanica in 1975, son Emrich Kjanica and daughter Catherine Jenkins; 3 brothers Andrew, John and Leo Regent and 2 sisters Elizabeth Zalewski and twin sister Marcella Kotermanski.
Visitation 3-7 PM Friday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM in Holy Family Church, Creighton. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. VISIT: dusterfh.com
