Cheryl L. Kamer

           Cheryl L. Kamer, 73, of Buffalo Township, passed away Tuesday August 1, 2023, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family, in the ICU at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born December 30, 1949 in Harrison Township to the late Harold and Eva (Vogel) Brooks. Cheryl lived for almost the past 50 years in Buffalo Township. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, and like a second mother to many throughout her lifetime. Cheryl graduated from Har Brack High School in 1967 and attended Alderson-Broaddus College, WV for 2 years. During her life, she also spent time working at G.C. Murphay’s and Pajer’s Farm Market. She enjoyed her monthly card club gatherings with her friends to play cards, but also mostly to just enjoy each others company and socialize. Cheryl spent many years volunteering with the Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed babysitting, watching TV, reading, traveling and mostly her grandkids. Cheryl especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

            Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Victor A. “Vic” Kamer; children Amanda “Mandy” M. (Jarrod) McIntyre, of Natrona Heights and Jason B. (Chauna Callen), Kamer, of Clinton Twp.; grandchildren Savannah M. McIntyre, of Natrona Heights, Zachary A. “Zach” McIntyre, of Natrona Heights and Charles “Charlie” B. Kamer, of Clinton Twp. Also surviving are her siblings Edward (Linda) Brooks, of Saxonburg and Sally Welling, of Buffalo Township, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Melissa Sue Kamer, and her in-laws Victor J. and Vera M. Kamer.

            Visitation will be Friday August 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Duster Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be held at 10 AM Saturday August 5 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, followed by a luncheon. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
