Clifton O. Bennett, 100, formerly of Brackenridge, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 in Oregon, OH, where he lived the past 6 years. He was born November 30, 1922 in Kelly Station, PA to the late Clifton O. and Violet (Jack) Bennett. Clifton lived most of his life in Brackenridge and was a laborer for TW Phillips, Co. in Butler for 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Army infantry serving in WWII in Normandy, Northern France and the Battle of the Bulge receiving a Bronze Star medal. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, Tarentum where he was a former Deacon and trustee. Mr. and Mrs. Bennett were foster parents and took care of 16 infants until their adoption.
Survivors include his children, Terry Allen (Connie) Bennett, of Northwood, OH and Sandra Lee Oslander, of FL. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and his sisters, Mona Cramer, of Buffalo Twp. and Shirley (Richard) Swager, of Fawn Twp. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty L. (Young) Bennett.
