Dominic M. Errico, 42, of Cheswick, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, following a 2-month battle with Covid 19. He was born October 20, 1978 in Long Beach, California, son of Judy (Seman) Errico, of Tarentum and Albert Errico and his wife Julie (Rassmussen), of Chicago. Dominic lived the past 5 ½ years in Cheswick and prior to that Shaler and Aspinwall. He was a Courier for Giant Eagle in RIDC and member of Guardian Angels Parish, and formerly St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Springdale. Dominic was a public address announcer for Duquesne University, formerly for Pittsburgh Power football team, WPA Wild CATZ semi pro football team, ABA basketball team and the Steel City Yellow Jackets. Dominic enjoyed his family time, playing and collecting board games, singing and bowling. He also enjoyed coaching his son’s Nicholas’ little league games, helping with his son’s cub scout pack and always giving a helping hand to everyone who needed it.
Besides his parents as above, he is survived by his wife of 12 years Elizabeth A. “Libbie” (Cicconi) Errico and his two sons Nicholas E. and Anthony J. Errico. Also surviving is a brother Vincent Errico, of New Kensington; 2 nephews Michael and Dade and a niece Carina Errico.
A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday from 4-7PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. A funeral mass will be conducted Wednesday at 10 am in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Everyone please meet at Church . In accordance with the CDC, please follow social distancing guidelines and masks are required.
